CNN.com is staffing up, adding a number of new blog beats. The first will be a photography blog, likely similar to The Big Picture on Boston.com. There will also be an education blog, “Schools of Thought,” which will focus on education issues in America.
There will also be a pair of blogs tied to CNN programming. The “In America” blog will “examine the richness of American identity and diversity through the prisms of the struggles and achievements related to race, ethnicity, age, ability, gender, sexual orientation and class.”
“What’s Next” will be tied to the new weekend program “The Next List,” and will focus on innovation. CNN is also planning a separate blog focusing on social and viral media and conversation.
