CNN, Bloomberg TV Win AIB Awards

CNN and Bloomberg TV were honored with Association for International Broadcasting awards at the AIB gala in London this week.

CNN took home awards in the Live Journalism and Short Feature categories. The network’s coverage of the anti-government protests in Turkey won for Live Journalism, with the judges calling it “great live, on-the-ground reporting in challenging circumstances.” The network’s “Damascus Undercover: Daraya” was praised for its “moving and gripping report” in its win for Short Feature.

Bloomberg TV’s Francine Lacqua was the winner in the International TV Personality” category. She was lauded for her “excellent, direct style, coupled with a warmth for her guests that belies a steely determination to find answers.”
