In the future, presidential candidates will run their entire campaigns in one never-ending town hall meeting carried on whatever it is that ultimately replaces cable news.
For now, we simply have town halls on cable, and plenty of them. CNN, fresh off back-to-back nights of Republican town hall meetings in South Carolina (the first night was a ratings success–ratings for the second will be out later today), has added a Democratic event, set for Tuesday with Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.
The event, moderated by Chris Cuomo, will be held at the University of South Carolina.
