CNN Anchor Stands By Tweet Critical of Rush Limbaugh Children’s Book

By Chris Ariens

On Twitter Thursday, CNN daytime anchor Carol Costello added her thoughts to @HuffPostMedia‘s Tweet about Rush Limbaugh writing a children’s book. Costello wrote: “I’m a little sick now.”

That has since been deleted from Costello’s account. (A CNN spokesperson tells us Costello didn’t delete it, but they’re not sure how it was removed). Either way, Costello stands by what she wrote, the spokesperson says.

Costello and Limbaugh have a past. In July, Limbaugh’s hour-long sit-down with Greta Van Susteren on Fox News became news on CNN, which then became fodder on Limbaugh’s radio show. Limbaugh called Costello, “the former Rush stalker. Before she was an anchor, she was a reporter, and she had the Rush beat…”

But it goes back even further. In 2009, after Costello did another CNN segment involving Limbaugh, Rush said Costello should, “go sit on a fire hydrant and improve your day.”

Limbaugh’s book for kids, “Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims: Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans,” will be released October 29.
