As part of the annual Clinton Global Initiative being held this week in New York City, CNBC will air “The Clinton Global Citizens Awards Show” this weekend. The awards will be handed out tomorrow night at the close of the three-day get-together. CNBC will repackage the ceremony for a one hour special Sunday night at 9pmET.

The Clinton Global Citizen Awards were established three years ago to recognize individuals who have lead the way in solving pressing global challenges. This is the first year CNBC will be airing the awards.

As part of his sixth annual gathering, former Pres. Clinton has been making the media rounds. He appeared Sunday on “Meet the Press,” Monday morning on “Good Morning America,” Monday night on the “Late Show with David Letterman,” and last night on the “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.” And today he’ll be interviewed by CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo for the network’s “Meeting of the Minds” series which will air tomorrow night.
