Michael Santoli will be join CNBC as senior markets commentator, starting Oct. 26. Santoli has been a frequent guest across the network’s business day programming, often guest hosting and filling in for various anchors. Santoli’s new role will involve multiple programs, with a particular emphasis on Closing Bell.
CNBC svp Nikhil Deogun announced the hire to his staff this morning via email. In addition on on-air appearances, Santoli is expected to create content for CNBC.com. Santoli was previously a senior columnist at Yahoo Finance and spent 15 years at Barron’s.
