FishbowlDC breaks the news that longtime Washington DC-based NBC News correspondent Chip Reid has left the network. Sources say Reid will be going to work for CBS.
Most recently, Reid was the Capitol Hill correspondent for NBC. This was his second stint in DC for NBC. During the first (1996-2000), Reid reported on the Clinton White House.
Reid was also a correspondent in NBC’s LA Bureau, he was an embedded reporter during the Iraq War, and did occassional fill-in anchor duty for MSNBC.
