Charlie Gasparino vs. Joe Kernan …in the Locker Room?

Fox Business Network’s Charlie Gasparino — along with anchor Liz Claman — took exception today on-air to a remark made yesterday by Joe Kernan on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

Kernan got into a conversation about journalists and political affiliations with economist Diane Swonk and asked her, “Would you say Fox News is definitely a right-wing organization? A far right wing organization?” When Swonk told a story about being booked for a panel with Billy Graham on the network, Kernan replied, “So they’re wing-nuts, basically?”

Today on FBN, Gasparino criticized CNBC’s reporting on breaking news regarding BP and also used to the opportunity to tell a very odd story about Kernan.

“By the way, the gentleman who called us ‘wing-nuts,’ I happened to know him pretty well,” Gasparino said. “I used to play this little game with him in the locker room after we worked out where I used to walk around with a towel around my waist…he had visages of a prison scene.”
