MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” was the first cable news program to mention the CENTCOM hack, almost 20 minutes before Fox News or CNN. By doing so, Mitchell had one of the smoothest segues in recent memory, literally discussing cybersecurity as she subtly mentioned the news that a group claiming to be ISIS has hacked CENTOM’s Twitter feed.
