CBS’s Seth Doane on the Move

By Chris Ariens

After nearly three years based in Beijing, CBS’s Seth Doane is moving further East, or West, depending on how you look at it.

Doane will now be CBS’s correspondent based in Rome, replacing Allen Pizzey who retired last month (even though he was called up last week to report on the Brussels attacks).

After visiting a dozen countries and more than 70 cities, on the Asian continent, Doane will now cover the Vatican, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

CBS This Morning’s Charlie Rose called Doane “a poster person for the great life of a foreign correspondent.” Here’s Doane’s Reporter’s Notebook from his time in Asia.
