‘CBS This Morning’ Poaches From ‘GMA’

By Chris Ariens

“CBS This Morning” has hired a new senior producer from across the street. Cari Strassberg joins CBS from ABC where she was a producer for “Good Morning America.”

At “GMA,” Strassberg managed correspondents, producers and bookers in the hours leading up to the show. “She has a great news sense and is very much a believer in our mission of bringing the news back to the morning,” writes CTM EP Chris Licht in a note to staff.

Team:

I’m happy to announce that Cari Strassberg is joining CBS This Morning as Senior Producer, Overnight.

Cari comes to us from GMA, where she managed correspondents, producers, bookers and desk to deliver a fresh, urgent broadcast every morning. She’s a pro at navigating the overnight—from approving scripts, to writing them. From launching breaking segments to getting those last-minute live shots. Cari has also been a crash producer, so she knows, firsthand, what that overnight team is up against.

She has a great news sense and is very much a believer in our mission of bringing the news back to the morning.

Filling this position is just part of some exciting changes on the way. More on that in the coming days.

Chris
