Hulme_ChristopherChris Hulme, who spent 22 years at CBS News, joins The Associated Press as global video enterprise editor, a newly created position. Hulme, a former senior producer with the “CBS Evening News,” will develop enterprise stories for the AP’s U.S. and international video customers, which include many U.S. TV networks and local stations.

“AP’s customers tell us they want news that is distinctive, which can lead newscasts and make headlines on digital properties. That means we need to break big news and we need to do it in video as well as in text and photos,” said Sandy MacIntyre, vice president and director of global video news. “Chris Hulme has a proven track record of doing just that on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Hulme was a CBS News foreign editor for seven years before becoming senior producer in 2006. Previously he worked as foreign editor and national editor for ITN.
