“An Iraqi cameraman working for CBS News when he was wounded and detained by the U.S. military will be tried next month, CBS officials said Wednesday,” the AP reports. But the charges against Abdul Ameer Younis Hussein still have not been made public.
“We’ve been trying for a year to get information,” CBS Baghdad bureau chief Larry Doyle said.
“All we are seeking is due process for Mr. Hussein,” CBS spokeswoman Sandy Genelius added.
The trial was supposed to start today, but it has been postponed until April 5. He faces life in prison if convicted. More from the AP…
