CBS News has responded to criticism it received for editing part of a Charlie Rose interview with Bill Clinton Monday.
Rose talked with the 42nd president about the annual Clinton Global Initiative. But, following an incident Sunday that revealed a diagnosis of pneumonia, the conversation also included questions about Hillary Clinton‘s health. Some readers/viewers noticed that one version of the interview left out a few key words. When Rose asked “you wonder if it’s more serious than dehydration,” Bill Clinton responded:
She’s been uh. Well if it is, it’s a mystery to me and all of her doctors, ‘cuz, frequently—well not frequently, rarely—but on more than one occasion, over the last many, many years, the same sort of thing happened to her when she got severely dehydrated.

What we bolded was edited out of the a clip that aired on Monday evening (see clip below.)
