CBC Correspondents Arrested In Turkey

By Alex Weprin

Two reporters for CBC News have been arrested in Turkey while covering the protests there.

The two reporters, Sasa Petricic and Derek Stoffel, were on the ground covering the clashes between police and protesters in Istanbul. According to the CBC, the network “has been in contact with them, and they say they’re OK.”

As we noted yesterday, reporters had to wear gas masks in order to cover the clashes.
