RFKAward“Rock Center with Brian Williams,” took home the 2013 Robert F. Kennedy Award for outstanding International TV journalism last night. The award, presented by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, went to the “Rock Center” story called “Lobster Trap,” which investigated the brutal reality behind the culinary delicacy. Natalie Morales reported on divers in Honduras who risked death and paralysis to hunt for what they call “red gold.”

“Rock Center” was canceled this summer.

Eleven awards were presented at a ceremony at the Newseum last night. The RFK domestic TV award went to PBS’s “Frontline,” while CNN took home the Photography award.
