The Radio Television Digital News Association held their annual Edward R. Murrow Awards dinner last night in New York. CBS Radio News correspondent Cami McCormick, walking with a cane after being injured by an IED while on assignment in Afghanistan last year, got a standing ovation as she accepted CBS’ Overall Excellence award.

“In this day and age, where the news cycle is so fast,” Said McCormick, “It’s so hard to achieve excellence or strive for it these days. We keep trying. And to win it again is especially important this year.”
