Cablers, Networks Cover “Craigslist Killer”

Philip Markoff, who has been dubbed the “Craigslist Killer,” has just been arraigned in Boston on charges of killing one woman and attacking another. The cable news networks have devoted several segments each today to the story, with their reporters on location. It was also in the first block of the network morning show, but ABC News has the early scoop in the case — an email from Markoff’s fiancee, Megan McAllister. And she’s standing by her man.

“A police officer in Boston (or many) is trying to make big bucks by selling this false story to the TV stations,” she wrote to ABC. “We expect to marry in August and share and wonderful, meaningful life together.” We’ll continue to monitor the story:
