The three cable news channels have been giving extensive coverage to the release from a Scottish prison of Pan Am 103 bomber Abdel Basset al-Megrahi on compassionate grounds — a decision not sitting well with the U.S government and outraging loved ones of the victims of the 1988 bombing which killed 259 people on board and 11 people on the ground in Lockerbie, Scotland.
