TV industry publisher CableFAX announced its list of “cable’s top shows, people, and entertainment icons” at an awards banquet in New York this week. Though the majority of the awards are given for non-news programming, BBC America, HDNET, and CNBC were counted among the winners.

Also, Ted Turner and Dan Rather were inducted into the CableFAX Programming Hall of Fame.
