The Democratic debate pushed CNN into the Top 3 prime time networks among all ad-supported cable networks for the week of October 12 after ranking 29th last week. CNN averaged 2.21 million viewers between 8-11 p.m. ET, behind only NFL and MLB-heavy networks TBS and ESPN.
Fox News Channel was No. 4 in both prime time and No. 5 in total day viewers, while CNN failed to crack the Top 10 in total day, finishing eleventh. MSNBC ranked No. 27 in prime time and No. 28 in total day and HLN No. 49 in prime time and No. 32 in total day.
USA joins TBS, ESPN, CNN and Fox News in the Top 5 prime time networks.
