ABC’s Robin Roberts will host a special countdown to the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles. The special debuts on July 23 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN, followed by encore presentation July 25 at 2:30 p.m. ET on ABC and that same night at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
Special Olympics Ambassador Brooklyn Decker will introduce us to her aunt, who happens to be a Special Olympics athlete. Roberts will takes viewers into the lives of the athletes and introduce the coaches, volunteers, referees and those who support them. Terrel Limerick, the first intellectually disabled (ID) American to qualify at one of the highest levels in sailing will be featured, along with Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver.
