Brian Williams Edited Out of PBS’ Lincoln Awards Special

By Mark Joyella

Suspended NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams has had his name edited out of most of NBC’s on-air and online branding, and ahead of the PBS broadcast of the Lincoln Awards ceremony Friday, Williams has been scrubbed out of that as well.

The New York Daily News reports Williams hosted the ceremony back in January, before his exaggerated story of surviving an RPG attack on a helicopter over Iraq led to a six-month suspension.

Williams will be edited out of the PBS broadcast and replaced with a taped introduction by First Lady Michelle Obama.
