Both “Today” and “CBS This Morning” had some news to break this morning, though one was probably more important than the other.
NBC, which dedicated a good chunk of the program to promoting the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia (only a year away people!), also broke some news related to a U.S. household staple for the last 90 years: Monopoly. Yes, the board game is losing the “iron” gamepiece, and is gaining a new piece, the “cat.” “Today” had a life-size replica of the piece, complete with cat sounds, to mark the momentous event.

Meanwhile on “CBS This Morning,” there was also some breaking news that affects an old American institution. The morning show broke the news that the US Postal Service would stop delivering First Class Mail on Saturdays.
