Bob Woodruff: In Iraq Since Friday; Was Supposed To Co-Anchor State of the Union

Bob Woodruff arrived in Iraq on Friday, January 27 and co-anchored World News Tonight from the Iraqi capital.

He was scheduled to report “on the US military’s mission in light of the recent election results.” Woodruff was expected to anchor “ABC’s live coverage of the State of the Union on January 31 from Baghdad,” a press release said last week. “Ms. Vargas will anchor that evening’s World News Tonight and ABC’s State of the Union coverage from Washington, D.C.”
