Bloomberg, Where It’s Always Daybreak Somewhere

By Mark Joyella

It looks like Bloomberg GO will be going.

The Bloomberg morning show, which debuted a year ago this week, will evolve into part of a “flagship global morning show” called Bloomberg Daybreak.

David Westin, Jonathan Ferro and Alix Steel–who replaced Stephanie Ruhle in August–will continue, anchoring one element of the program, Bloomberg Daybreak Americas at 7 a.m. New York time.

The rest of Daybreak will air from regional hubs: the existing Bloomberg Daybreak Asia with Yvonne Mann and Betty Liu will lead off from Hong Kong at 7 a.m. local time, followed by Bloomberg Daybreak Europe with Manus Cranny and Anna Edwards from London at 5 a.m. local time, and then Daybreak Americas.

“This new TV and radio lineup further aligns our programming to ‘follow the sun’ around the world while drawing on Bloomberg’s unparalleled journalistic resources to provide continuous 24 hours of business and financial news, data, analysis and insight,” said Bloomberg TV and Radio chief Al Mayers.

Bloomberg Surveillance, And With All Due Respect, What’d You Miss?, Charlie Rose and Bloomberg Technology will all continue in their current time slots.
