Bin Laden Killed: msnbc.com Video Streams Top Michael Jackson Memorial

The death of Osama Bin Laden topped the memorial service for Michael Jackson in terms of online video streams served by msnbc.com, as the site said it totaled more than 21 million for Monday as of 6 p.m. ET, topping the 19 million July 7, 2009, when the King of Pop was remembered.

The recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan holds the msnbc.com record, with more than 40 million streams.

As for Sunday, msnbc.com served more than 1.73 million online views of the announcement of Bin Laden’s death by President Barack Obama, and page views for the day were 38 percent above the site’s Sunday average.
