Billy Bush is Reportedly in Meetings With FOX

Update: The Daily Mail is adjusting their initial reporting and now saying that Billy Bush is “in meetings” with FOX TV executives about a possible new job, but not as host of the upcoming newsmagazine show Top 30. They originally reported that Bush was going to host the program.

A FOX Television Stations spokesperson, however, tells TVNewser that The Daily Mail’s original and adjusted reporting is “not true whatsoever.”

Billy Bush is returning to daytime television. The former Today and Access Hollywood host has landed a new job hosting FOX’s upcoming news magazine show Top 30, according to a report from DailyMail.com.

The daily news program will debut in September, and will tell “30 stories in 30 minutes.” Top 30 is set to air on FOX TV stations through 2019.

According to the Daily Mail, the show originally premiered as a four-week series in June 2016, hosted by Yahoo News reporter Cynthia LuCiette, ThinkTank’s Hannah Cranston, and comedian Kevan Moezzi. It had been described as a news show having ‘a millennial voice and edge.” It’s unclear if the format will remain the same considering Bush is, well, not a millennial.

Bush’s deal with FOX comes nine months after he was fired from Today in the aftermath of the leaked Access Hollywood video from 2005, which shows Bush laughing as Pres. Donald Trump, then a reality TV host, bragged about how he liked to grab women by the genitals.

At the time Bush was a host on Access Hollywood and Trump was a guest. The tape was leaked before the election. Trump went on to become President of the United States, and Bush was fired from NBC News.
