Bill Weir, the former ABC News “Nightline” anchor made his first appearance on CNN last night. He went on “Erin Burnett: OutFront” with a report on crack-smoking, obscenity-prone, defiant Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.
“Welcome to CNN,” said Burnett. “THIS is CNN. So great to be here” Weir shot back. He also went on “New Day” this morning with more of his Ford story.
Weir will begin developing a primetime show set to launch early next year and is also the network’s Chief Innovation Correspondent.
