Bill Simmons Makes His PTI Co-Host Debut

By Marcus Vanderberg

Bill Simmons, the face of ESPN.com, co-hosted Pardon The Interruption for the first time ever on Tuesday alongside Tony Kornheiser.

Simmons appeared to be more comfortable on camera as the episode progressed and suffered only one awkward moment when his earpiece fell out while he was talking. He will be filling in for Michael Wilbon for the rest of the week.

“Just taped my first PTI episode, “Simmons tweeted shortly before the show aired at 5:30 p.m. ET. “Tried my best, only 1 big mistake but it turned out be funny. 4 days of this, by Friday I will be mediocre!”

There were rumors that Simmons was going to make his PTI debut last summer but it turned out to be bad information.

Tuesday wasn’t the first time that Kornheiser and Simmons have worked together on camera. In June they participated in an ESPN NBA free agency roundtable with Michael Wilbon and Dan Le Batard.

It makes you wonder if he will see more of Simmons on television as part of his new deal with ESPN.
