Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity React to Obama’s ‘Destructive’ Comment

Following Pres. Obama’s comments in a Rolling Stone interview about Fox News Channel, reaction from FNC hosts was not far behind. NYT’s Brian Stelter distills what Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity said on their shows last night:

On Mr. Reilly’s show, “The O’Reilly Factor,” his guest, the liberal commentator Alan Colmes, tried to explain why Mr. Obama might think the cable news network was too ready to attack him, but he was not given much time to make his case. “Host after host on this network talks against his health care plan,” Mr. Colmes said.

In the next hour, on his show, “Hannity,” Mr. Hannity seemed angrier. Mr. O’Reilly did not bring up Mr. Obama’s comments until the middle of  his show, but Mr. Hannity made them his lead story.

“Once again, we are seeing if you disagree with the president’s left-wing agenda, you do so at your own risk,” Mr. Hannity said.

He savaged Mr. Obama for policies that he said “have caused the unemployment rate to skyrocket to double digits” and for leading an administration that he said “doesn’t think we are fighting a war on terror.”
