Bill Murray Meets the Press

By Chris Ariens

Bill Murray is in Washington, D.C. this weekend where he’ll be honored with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center Sunday night. And that could be problematic for the Chicago native and Cubs fan. If need be, Game 7 of the NLCS will be taking place at the same time. This afternoon, Murray, who once played a Pittsburgh TV weatherman in Groundhog Day, stopped by the White House Briefing room where some members of the press corps asked about Game 6 of the series, which is tomorrow night at Wrigley Field. Murray’s Cubs lead Larry King‘s Dodgers, 3 games to 2.

Murray was last at the White House in 2014 when he attended a screening of Monuments Men with Pres. Obama and fellow actors George Clooney and Matt Damon.
