Barbara Walters’ Interview with Obamas Now Scheduled for ‘Nightline’

By Chris Ariens

On Dec. 11 Barbara Walters got what’s become an annual sit-down with Pres. and Mrs. Obama. Portions of the newsmaking interview have already aired on ABC News programs. A longer version — which featured the Obamas first joint interview since re-election — was intended to air on a holiday themed edition of “20/20” on Friday, Dec. 14. The massacre in Newtown, CT earlier that day changed those plans.

Now ABC has slated the interview to air in a special edition of “Nightline” tonight. In addition to a one-on-one with the president, Walters gets a tour of the White House holiday decorations from Mrs. Obama, accompanied by First Dog Bo.
