At The End Of Tucker…

By Chris Ariens

Tonight, as he was signing off, MSNBC’s Tucker Carlson closed by saying, “That does it for us. Thank you for watching as always, we mean that sincerely to all eight of you. We’ll be back Monday. Up next, “Hardball” with Chris Matthews. Have a great weekend.”

A TVNewser tipster tells us “MSNBC management [is] infuriated” at Tucker’s flippant sign-off.

And Tucker underestimates his viewership by a factor of 10,000. His 10-day average in the A25-54 demo is 80,000. He finished in third on seven of those days, and fourth, behind Headline News, on three days.

One more note: on Monday Tucker has a new 6pmET competitor: the third hour of the Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on CNN moves back an hour from 7pm to 6pm.
