‘Anderson’ Renewed For Second Season

By Alex Weprin

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show has been renewed by the local Fox stations, as well as LIN, Meredith,  and Gannett, effectively guaranteeing that it will return for another season. In addition, the Fox affiliate in New York City, WNYW, will be getting the show next year. This year “Anderson” ran on the CW affiliate, WPIX.

Much more here from B&C‘s Paige Albiniak.

“This is a terrific testament to these strong stations who, like us, see Anderson as the next early-fringe syndication franchise,” said Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution president Ken Werner in a statement. “Since its launch, the series has continued to grow and find its voice in a very competitive and fragmented landscape. We have great faith in Anderson and with strong station partners, we believe we are well on the way to creating a valuable news lead-in.”
