Anderson Cooper Was Asked to Play Himself on SNL

By Brian Flood

CNN’s Anderson Cooper appeared on last night’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, alongside 1980s movie icon Molly Ringwald. The candid discussion featured Cooper revealing he didn’t love the recent parody of him Saturday Night Live, although SNL originally asked him to appear in the skit but he declined because of a scheduling conflict.

The conflict was actually a Washington, D.C. stop on his AC2 tour with Cohen. Cooper also discussed Donald Trump‘s popularity, why he doesn’t reveal his political preferences and even how he avoids the topic with his close friends.

“It’s not my job, even as a person to take sides,” Cooper said before Cohen responded with,”as well as I know you, I still don’t know who’s side you’re on.” Check it out:
