Anderson Cooper Signs New Deal at CNN

By Mark Joyella

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper won’t be leaving cable news for daytime TV, as the AC 360 has extended his contract with the network.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cooper has signed a new long-term deal with CNN, and will not be a potential replacement for Michael Strahan as co-host of ABC’s Live with Kelly Ripa.

Cooper’s contract with CNN will continue to allow him to serve as an occasional correspondent for CBS’ 60 Minutes.
