Anderson Cooper on Where to Draw ‘The Line’

By kevin

Men’s Journal has a Q&A with CNN’s Anderson Cooper this week and asks about the line between journalist and participant. “There is a line, and the more you’ve been in the field, the more you’re aware of where the line is,” he says. “If you’re in a situation where you can help a little boy who’s got a concussion or blood pouring from his head — to me, that’s not a huge journalistic issue. But you know in your gut when something is happening just for your cameras, and you remove your cameras from that situation.” Cooper also says in the Q&A that South America, Equatorial Guinea, and the Congo are places he’d like to report from more.
