Anderson Cooper expressed doubt about the numbers that put him second to Ron Burgundy on Marketwired’s most popular social media anchors list.
“So Ron Burgundy is a top-notch journalist, there’s no doubt about it, but I think the data might be a bit skewed,” Cooper quipped in his “Riduculist” Wednesday night. “For one thing there’s no movie about me, where as Burgundy plays a small role in ‘Anchorman 2,’ which is in theaters today as you surely know because it’s gotten some promotion you might have noticed.”

Other top social media anchors on the list are Megyn Kelly, Katie Couric, Wolf Blitzer, Matt Lauer, and Chris Cuomo among others, but it was Burgundy that drew Cooper’s ire.
