> CBS’ Russ Mitchell and CNN assignment editor/field producer Frances Lewine have both been named recipients of the Missouri Honor Medal for Distinguished Service in Journalism. The medal will be officially bestowed on October 9 at the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
>CBS News Correspondent Jerry Bowen and producer Bruce Rheins won a second place award from the Society of Environmental Journalists for Outstanding Beat/In-Depth Reporting on Television for two CBS Evening News reports, “Global Warming Imperils Alaska Village” and “Miami, New Orleans Face Warming Threat”.
