And on the 4th Day, ‘New Day’ Takes 2nd

On its fourth day out, CNN’s “New Day” grabbed second place among total viewers for the cable news morning shows. “New Day” squeaked by MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” averaging 308,000 viewers to “Joe’s” 307,000 and also ahead of HLN’s Morning Express.” (297,000) It came in third in the ad-friendly A25-54 demo, behind HLN’s “Morning Express. In its debut Monday, “New Day” finished third in total viewers and fourth in the younger demo. Tried and true “Fox & Friends” draws more total viewers than the other three shows combined.
