Amanpour, Couric, Maddow, Toobin to Address 2010 Grads

With the 2010 commencement season just a few months away, here’s the latest on which newsers will be imparting words of wisdom to this year’s graduates:

• CNN’s Christiane Amanpour is slated to be the 2010 Senior Class Day speaker at Harvard University in Massachusetts on May 26, one day prior to commencement. Amanpour follows in the footsteps of NBC’s Matt Lauer, last year‘s Class Day speaker.

• CBS’s Katie Couric will be the graduation speaker at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio on May 16, and will receive an honorary doctorate degree.

• MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow has been tapped as commencement speaker at Smith College in Massachusetts on May 16. She’ll also be awarded an honorary degree.

• CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin will deliver commencement speeches at the University of Pennsylvania Law School on May 17 (no link), and at Golden Gate University School of Law in California on May 18.
