Alix Steel Named Co-Host of Bloomberg < GO >

By Mark Joyella

Bloomberg Television announced Thursday that Alix Steel has been named co-host of the network’s morning newscast, Bloomberg < GO >, replacing Stephanie Ruhle, who announced in April she would leave Bloomberg for MSNBC.

“Alix has the global markets and commodities experience to enhance our coverage for a global audience,” said Bloomberg head of TV and radio Al Mayers. “Global expansion has been a strong focus for Bloomberg Television throughout the past year, and this move will benefit viewers around the world, whether they watch it live or digitally.”

Steel joined the network in 2012, and has covered global markets and economic news as anchor of the network’s Bloomberg Markets and co-anchor of What’d You Miss? She previously worked as a multimedia journalist at The Street.
