Al Sharpton on Mitt Romney: ‘He reminds me of this guy Spanky I went to school with’

On NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” last night, MSNBC host Al Sharpton was a guest. Sharpton talked about the National Action Network and the Trayvon Martin shooting, but he also talked politics.

Regarding Mitt Romney‘s VP search, he said:

“He reminds me of this guy Spanky I went to school with who couldn’t get a date to the prom.”

Elsewhere on Fox News, Ann Coulter lied about Fallon’s ratings in a segment on “Hannity” discrediting President Obama’s appearance on the show earlier this week. Coulter said that Fallon’s show garners “only a few hundred thousand” viewers (it is actually an average of 1.6 million) and “only 175,000” viewers in the key demo (it is actually around 600,000 among adults 18-49, the key entertainment demo).
