The Chicago Tribune’s Allison Benedikt thinks Charles Gibson looks “appears absolutely, positively bored” on World News Tonight. She says he, and his evening newscast, needs to evolve a bit:

And if Gibson doesn’t show a little leg soon — or at least lose the sourpuss and get back the glint he used to have sparring with “GMA” guests such as Julia Child — he could easily find himself in last place come September. Right now, he’s the embodiment of what anchors most disdain to be called: a newsreader. My advice? You don’t need to stoop to Brangelina headlines, Charlie. Just lose the voice of God pose, use a little blush and start to wonder again.”</TD. |
