Abrams Wants “Live & Urgent” Daytime

In an interview with Bill Carter, anchor-turned-manager Dan Abrams steered away “from suggestions that a widespread overhaul of MSNBC is imminent.”

He said he wants to make daytime more “live and urgent, less newscasty.” (Sounds a bit like “live and direct.”) He didn’t say how he plans to take advantage of Hardball and Countdown’s success. “We’re close to figuring out what we want to do and how we want to do it,” he said…
