ABC’s Tom Llamas Gets Choked Up Talking About the Castro Regime

By Chris Ariens

ABC World News Tonight Weekend anchor Tom Llamas knows exactly what the legacy of Fidel Castro will be. It is burned into his memory from his childhood in Miami. Born in the U.S. in 1979, Llamas’ parents fled the island nation in the 1960s.

Llamas was on Good Morning America this morning as the show covered Castro’s death. He got emotional talking about how his family spent their nights putting together care packages to be sent to loved ones back home.
