ABC News correspondent Mara Schiavocampo has given birth to a baby boy, Cruz Achille Porter, born Monday morning in New York. “Achille was my grandfather’s name,” Schiavocampo said.
ABC reports Cruz, who was due Jan. 11, arrived days early–and without delay, born just ten minutes after Schiavocampo and her husband, Tommie Porter, arrived at the hospital, before they even had time to finish the admissions paperwork.
It’s the second child for the couple, who have a four-year-old daughter. Schiavocampo’s year is full of new editions, with her 2014 book Thinspired: How I Lost 90 Pounds — My Plan for Lasting Weight Loss and Self-Acceptance, just out in paperback.
