ABC News Talks With Teen Sought in Boston Blast Investigation

By Chris Ariens

After a 17-year-old was implicated as someone authorities wanted to speak to about the Boston bombings — and today featured on the cover of the New York Post — the teen would like you to know he was just there to watch the Marathon.

ABC News tracked down Salah Barhoun through social media. He said he went to the police yesterday to clear his name. Federal authorities had passed around his picture, attempting to learn more information about him, sources told ABC.

ABC News producers spoke with him today at his home. He said he had actually wanted to run the race and when he couldn’t, he decided to watch. His younger brother said it made his mother “sick and upset” that her son had been connected to the tragedy.
