To say ABC News senior foreign correspondent Jim Sciutto and his wife and fellow ABC Newser Gloria Riviera had an eventful day yesterday would be something of an understatement.
Sciutto, along with two paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, welcomed a baby boy into their family when Riviera gave birth in their home. Both mother and baby are doing great.
Sciutto tells TVNewser:
Turns out the little guy was in a rush. All went very well – and mother and son are in perfect health. Unlike any other ‘assignment’ I’ve ever had. We are smiling at the kind of life he’ll lead after making such a dramatic entrance. Foreign correspondent will be boring by comparison.
Sciutto and his family will soon be returning to Washington DC as he takes a new assignment for ABC News.
